- Preferred: 2-year Machine Tool degree and 1 year die maintenance experience.
Job Description
Must have a natural aptitude for understanding, working with, and fixing mechanical machines.
Principal Responsibilities
- Change dies to run various parts, sharpen dies, and maintain dies for production.
- Perform occasional machining as needed for die repair.
- Read and interpret prints and work to close tolerances.
- Operate tool room equipment including lathes, milling machines, surface grinders, and drill presses.
- Verify assigned operations comply with blueprint specifications.
- Use specified measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, comparator).
- Work closely with the Department Manager and Stamping Press Operators to resolve quality issues.
